Lake Mburo National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park,Kibale Forest National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Your gorilla adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe International Airport. Embark on a scenic full-day drive (approximately 8–10 hours) southwestward through Uganda's lush countryside.Pass the Equator line (great photo stop), rolling tea plantations, traditional Ankole long-horned cattle, and the dramatic Kigezi Highlands with terraced hillsides.Arrive in Bwindi in the late afternoon/evening — depending on your sector (Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga, or Nkuringo). Check into your chosen lodge (budget, mid-range, or luxury options available), enjoy a welcome dinner, and prepare for tomorrow's big trek with a briefing from your guide. Overnight: Lodge in/near Bwindi (e.g., Buhoma or Rushaga sector)
Rise early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters for an 8:00 AM briefing. Here, rangers share rules, assign you to one of the habituated gorilla families (based on fitness level and permit allocation), and introduce expert trackers and guides. The trek begins — anywhere from 2 to 8 hours through dense rainforest, bamboo zones, steep slopes, and tangled vines (difficulty varies; good fitness and sturdy boots recommended). Once located, spend a magical one hour quietly observing the gorillas: watch silverbacks chest-beat, juveniles play, mothers nurse infants, and the family forage peacefully. Photography is allowed (no flash). Return to your lodge by early/mid-afternoon. Relax, enjoy the forest views, or join an optional short nature walk or Batwa cultural experience to learn about the indigenous forest people's traditions (song, dance, hunting techniques). Overnight: Same lodge in Bwindi

After a leisurely breakfast, depart Bwindi for the return drive to Kampala/Entebbe (another 8–10 hours). Enjoy the reverse scenic route, with stops for photos, lunch en route, and perhaps a quick visit to a local craft market. Arrive in Kampala/Entebbe in the late afternoon/evening for drop-off at your hotel or airport — depending on your onward travel plans.
