Reservations & Confirmation
At Gorilla Hour Uganda, every journey begins with thoughtful planning and attention to detail. To ensure a seamless experience, our booking process is designed to be clear, secure, and efficient. A safari reservation is confirmed upon receipt of a 50% deposit of the total tour cost. Once received, a formal confirmation will be shared with you.The remaining balance is payable 30 days prior to arrival, allowing us to finalize all arrangements to the highest standard. For bookings made within 60 days of travel, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

Payment Details
We accept international bank transfers, as well as major credit and debit cards. Kindly note that any applicable bank or transaction fees are the responsibility of the client.All payments should be made in the currency specified on your invoice.
Gorilla Permits & Exclusive Experiences
Gorilla trekking is a rare and privileged experience, regulated by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Permits are limited and highly sought after.Once secured, gorilla permits are strictly non-transferable, and refund is based on the UWA cancellation policy
Illness During Your Journey
Your comfort, safety, and well-being remain our highest priorities throughout your time with Gorilla Hour Uganda. In the unfortunate event of illness during your safari, our team will respond promptly with care and discretion to ensure you receive the necessary support.Where required, we will assist in arranging medical attention, transportation to appropriate healthcare facilities, or adjustments to your itinerary to prioritize your recovery and comfort.
Please note:
- Any medical, evacuation, or related expenses incurred during your journey are the responsibility of the guest.
- Adjustments to your itinerary due to illness may be subject to availability and the policies of our partner lodges and service providers.
- Missed activities, including gorilla trekking, are generally non-refundable, particularly where permits and third-party services are involved.
- For this reason, comprehensive travel insurance is essential, ensuring coverage for medical treatment, emergency evacuation, and any interruption to your safari. Our team will remain at your side to assist with all necessary arrangements, ensuring that even in unforeseen circumstances, you are cared for with the utmost attention and professionalism.
Cancellations Policy
Postponement of Travel. We understand that plans may evolve, we advise carrying the safari to a forward date, in this case Gorilla Hour will make future reservations. For gorilla permits, we can reschedule to your future date, this however is subject to UWA’s cancellation policy, for reschedules of 14 Days prior to arrival will attract a surcharge.
At Gorilla Hour Uganda, we understand that travel plans may occasionally need to be adjusted. Should you wish to postpone your safari, we will make every effort to accommodate your request with flexibility and care. Postponements are subject to availability and must be requested in writing. Where possible, payments made will be transferred to a revised travel date.
Please note:
- Gorilla trekking permits and certain exclusive experiences are governed by strict UWA policy, permits can be rescheduled to another date for free, however is the reschedule should be before 30 days, 14 Days prior to the tracking will attract a surchage. Any reschedule to the new dates will depend on the availability.
- Our team will remain at your service throughout the process, ensuring your rescheduled journey retains the same level of elegance, comfort, and attention to detail you expect from us.
Cancellation of your Tour
While we sincerely hope your Safari plans remain unchanged, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may require you to cancel your safari. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to ensure prompt handling by our team. The following cancellation terms will apply:
90 days prior to arrival 15% of the total tour price refundable
60 -89 days prior – 20% of the total tour price refundable
30–59 days prior – 30% of the total price refundable
10–29 days prior – 50% of the total price refundable
Less than 90 days prior – No refund
Please note that certain elements of your tour including gorilla trekking permits, chimpanzee trekking permits, golden monkey permits, lion tracking permits are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable, in accordance with Uganda Wildlife Authority regulations.
Lodges, and chartered flights are subject to independent cancellation policies which will be honored accordingly. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed using the original method of payment, less any bank or transaction charges.We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to safeguard against unexpected cancellations. Our team remains available to assist you with alternative arrangements or future planning, ensuring that when the time is right, your Gorilla Hour Uganda experience awaits.

Should any aspect of your journey not meet your expectations, we kindly encourage you to inform your guide or our guest relationships representative at the earliest opportunity. Addressing concerns in real time allows us to respond swiftly and thoughtfully, ensuring that any issues are resolved with minimal disruption to your experience.
Please note:
- Complaints raised during the safari will be given immediate attention, and every reasonable effort will be made to provide a satisfactory resolution.
If a concern is not communicated during the safari it may limit our ability to investigate or resolve the matter effectively at a later stage. - Any formal complaints submitted after the safari must be made in writing within 14 days of the safari end date.

Safari/Itineraries Altering & Flexibility Alteration by Gorilla Hour
Every Gorilla Hour Uganda itinerary is designed with both elegance and adaptability in mind. While we strive to deliver your journey exactly as planned, adjustments may occasionally be necessary due to weather, wildlife movement, or conservation requirements.
Rest assured, any changes will always be made in your best interest, maintaining the integrity and quality of your experience.
Client-Initiated Changes to Your Safari
At Gorilla Hour Uganda, we understand that your travel preferences may change before and during the safari, and we are pleased to offer flexibility wherever possible to tailor your journey to your wishes. Requests to alter your confirmed safari whether related to travel dates, accommodations, or included experiences/activities must be submitted in writing before the safari and if during the safari, then communicate to your guide, we will be able to effect changes however, any alternation is subject to availability.
Please note:
- Changes may incur additional costs depending on availability, seasonal rates, or revised supplier pricing.
- Where to change is not possible, we will advise
- Any costs arising from amendments, including administrative or rebooking fees, will be communicated prior to confirmation of the changes.
- While we will always endeavor to accommodate your requests with care and efficiency, we recommend finalizing your safari details at the time of booking to ensure the smoothest possible experience.

Travel Insurance (Essential)
For your peace of mind, comprehensive travel insurance is required. Your policy should include coverage for:

Health & Travel Requirements
Guests are responsible for ensuring all travel documents, visas, and health requirements are in order prior to arrival in Uganda. Gorilla trekking can be physically demanding; a reasonable level of fitness is advised to fully enjoy this remarkable encounter.
Responsibility & Liability
